The rules that keep us honest

• Rankings come first, links second. We decide our verdict from testing. Affiliate availability never changes it — we recommend tools with no program and criticize tools that pay us when the testing says so.
• Disclosure on every page with links, not hidden in the footer.
• No paid rankings. A vendor cannot buy a higher spot or a positive review.
